Reviews for Café Johannes
Review highlights
Based on 128 reviewsCafé Johannes in Delft is widely praised for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and attractive, cozy interior. The café excels in offering high-quality coffee and a variety of delicious pastries, with many visitors returning for their signature cakes and creative drinks like cold brew with pistachio foam. While most coffee options receive positive feedback, some customers note that certain beverages, such as the chai latte, could benefit from a stronger flavor profile. The pricing is generally considered reasonable, and the overall experience is seen as a strong addition to Delft’s vibrant café scene. Minor critiques include the outdoor seating comfort, but the café remains a favored spot for casual lunches and sweet treats.
After the already successful piece of cake business, the owners decided to open a cafe/hotel in the city centre of Delft adding yet another diamond piece of cafe to Delft’s already busy cafe culture. To me this is one of the best out there combining delicious cakes with great coffee. The cafe is well decorated and the staff is super friendly. If you’re in for a good coffee or a delicious lunch this is the place to go!
I’ve only had the coffee and pastries here but they’ve always been really good whenever I’ve visited. Staff are also super welcoming and friendly. P.S. be sure to check out the cold brew with pistachio foam during the coming warm days!
Beautiful little lunch place. Good coffee, great cake: we had a buttery smooth white chocolate cheesecake, a double espresso (a tad sour, but very good nonetheless), and a few great lattes. Good price, friendly staff, and very cozy interior. Would definitely visit again!
Back at Johannes Café in Delft Chai latte was nice but a bit too mild for our taste – could use a stronger spice kick. Honestly, the one next door at Kek is better Oat milk latte macchiato was smooth & tasty The cookies? Amazing Birthday sprinkle = fun & sweet, double chocolate = straight-up brownie vibes Definitely coming back for more treats – just please level up that chai!
It is a nice cafe; nothing special or unique. Friendly staff, and the coffee and chai latte were good. The chairs outside are rather uncomfortable.
We had delicious cappuccino and apple cake. The ambience of the place is pleasant (good music and decoration), maybe just a little bit too dark for my taste :). The service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back again. The price is also reasonable.
